I know, I know. The first thing people ask is, "But where do you get your fiber?"
I just smile. 6 months ago I was exhausted and foggy, running 3 companies on stress and iced coffee. Now I wake up at 5am before my daughters, get my workout in and think more clearly than I have in years.
What Is the Carnivore Diet?
It's simple: meat, eggs and water. That's pretty much it. Some people add butter, and some add salt. The idea is that animal foods are the most nutrient-dense foods on earth, and that a lot of people do better when they cut out plants completely, especially people dealing with autoimmune issues, gut problems or constant fatigue.
I'm not here to argue the science. I'm here to tell you what it did for my body.
The First 2 Weeks Were Brutal
Getting adjusted was rough. I had headaches, I was tired and I was cranky. My body was used to running on sugar, and it was not happy about being cut off.
By week 3, something changed. The brain fog I'd been dragging around like a heavy blanket was gone. So was the afternoon crash that used to send me looking for a third espresso. I started sleeping deeply instead of anxiously.
As a Busy Mom and CEO
Running a home with 3 daughters (one is 15 months old and still waking up at night) while building 3 companies takes a lot of energy. Not the jittery kind from caffeine, but real energy that lasts.
Carnivore gave me that. I meal prep on Sundays with ground beef, eggs, steak and sometimes chicken. It takes 30 minutes, and I'm fueled for the whole week without having to think about what to eat.
Should You Try It?
Talk to your doctor first. This isn't for everyone, and I'm not a nutritionist. But if you're always exhausted, inflamed or running on empty, it might be worth looking into.
What I do know is that what you put into your body decides how much you can give to your business, your kids and your vision.
For me, this was the answer.
"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength."
