From 0 to 3 Companies: What Nobody Tells You About Building While Raising Kids

Everyone sees the vision board. Nobody sees the 3am work while the baby sleeps and the rest of the house has finally gone quiet.

I'm Lisa Haven, founder of HAVENLY (www.havenly.co), the makeup remover wipes brand built for Gen Z; LUMAPROMPT.AI (www.lumaprompt.ai), a premium prompt generator written for the way women actually think; and VIXA (www.vixaapp.ai), the dating clarity app that hands women their power back. That's 3 companies and 3 daughters, and one woman in Florida building toward something that would make my girls proud.

The Lie They Sell You

They sell entrepreneurship like a highlight reel. You wake up one day with a brilliant idea, you pitch it, and voilà, you're on a Forbes list.

The real version looks different. You're prepping carnivore meals on Sunday because there's no time to cook during the week. You're answering developer messages with one hand while feeding a 15 month old with the other. And you carry all of it (the household, the companies, the vision) because that's exactly what you were built to do.

You do it anyway. That's really all there is to it.

The Real Struggle Nobody Talks About: Focus

This is the part the founder podcasts skip. Strategy and capital are hard, but the hardest thing about building 3 companies while raising 3 daughters is focus. I mean finding real, uninterrupted thinking time when your days belong to everyone but you.

3 kids, school runs, meals, laundry, and a toddler who doesn't care that you have a paywall architecture to finalize. Every hour of my day is claimed before it even starts.

So I built the one window that's entirely mine: 3am.

When the house is silent and Lucky is asleep at my feet (he's the only one who keeps me company at that hour), that's when I work. I'm not romanticizing the grind. That hour is simply the one that belongs to me. It's when I do the deep work, like product decisions, brand strategy and the thinking that actually moves a company forward. It's also when I learn. I study business operations courses. I study marketing. I watch founder stories until the sun comes up and pull lessons from people who built empires with less than I have.

I'm not waiting for someone to teach me. I'm teaching myself, one quiet morning at a time.

Why 3?

People ask me why I started 3 companies at once. The honest answer is that each one solves a problem I lived.

HAVENLY came from my obsession with skincare. I noticed nobody had touched the wipe market for Gen Z, the generation that actually reads ingredient lists and cares about how things look.

LUMAPROMPT.AI came from my frustration with artificial intelligence (AI) tools, software that mimics human reasoning, that felt like they were built by men, for men. The outputs kept missing the nuance of how women actually think and communicate.

VIXA came from too many conversations with my girlfriends, brilliant and successful women who were completely lost in the mixed signals of modern dating. We deserve clarity, not confusion.

What Keeps Me Going

My foundation is simple. It's me, my faith, my 3 daughters, Valentina (14), Mili (12) and Scarlett (15 months), and Lucky, my dog, who has logged more 3am shifts beside me than anyone. I rely on myself, on God, and on the family I'm building all of this for.

My girls are watching everything: the discipline, the 3am alarm, the refusal to quit. I'm raising 3 future bosses, and every choice I make is a lesson they're soaking up. A woman builds her own life, on her own terms, and she doesn't ask anyone's permission to do it.

I'm the one I count on. That's been enough to build everything you see so far, and there's so much more coming.

We're just getting started. 💸
